The time to get Narcan is before it's needed. The GHR team is working tirelessly to provide easy access of Naloxone, a drug used in countering the effects of an opioid overdose to everyone who uses opioids or loves someone who does.
GHR has a very public face, which is needed to create change. In addition to narcan trainings, the annual event, Region Recovery Riot, held during Overdose Awareness Month is a prime example of how GHR is striving to make change in the community.
Education is the cornerstone of what we do at Gary Harm Reduction. We strive to reduce the stigma around substance abuse, increase understanding of harm reduction and Narcan usage as well as provide resources for those on a journey of recovery.
